Raiola offers PSG wonderkid to AC Milan

In an attempt to fix his relationship with the Rossoneri, Mino Raiola has offered Paris Saint-Germain talent Xavi Simons to AC Milan.

Yesterday, at Casa Milan, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara hosted Mino Raiola. The Dutch-Italian agent discussed with the AC Milan management about the future of Alessio Romagnoli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Both players become free agents at the end of the season.

The AC Milan captain is willing to accept a pay-cut in order to stay. Romangoli is currently earning 6 million per season while the Rossoneri have offered him the renewal at 3.5 million euros per season. Regarding Zlatan the situation is different. Rather than a question of money, Milan must understand if Ibrahimovic will be physically well to play another season at high levels.

However, the two were not the only topic of discussion. Sportitalia journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Mino Raiola has offered Paris Saint-Germain starlet Xavi Simons to AC Milan. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder becomes a free agent at the end of the season and has refused to sign a new contract with PSG. Raiola is already on the move to find a new club.

According to various reports, Raiola is trying to fix his difficult relationship with AC Milan after orchestrating the departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma to PSG last summer. Offering Xavi Simons to AC Milan on a free transfer is considered a step in this direction.

Xavi Simons has been well-known as one of world football’s hottest prospects for quite some time. Simons made a name for himself at Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy before moving to France. Known for his elegant ball control, Simon is a fairly aggressive player at times determined to retain possession of the ball. The Netherlands U-19 talents is also a set-piece specialist.

In recent seasons AC Milan has become an important hub of player development. Talented youngsters like Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz and Fikayo Tomori have been getting opportunities that they couldn’t get at their previous clubs. Unlike the past, now the Rossoneri are a squad that relies a lot on young players. That’s why Raiola believes Milan might be the perfect environment for Xavi Simons to grow.
